Registrations for the Coupe Charles-Bruneau are now open! | The Coupe Charles-Bruneau comes to Quebec City!
We’re delighted to announce that the Coupe Charles-Bruneau family is expanding! For the very first time, this major Fondation event will be held in Quebec City, at Place Jean-Béliveau! It is now possible to register for the Coupe Charles-Bruneau in Quebec City, as well as the Coupe Charles-Bruneau in Montreal. Inaugurated in 2021 in honour of Charles Bruneau’s love of the sport, this charity ball field hockey tournament has since raised close to $3 million for children with cancer – an exceptional success for the Foundation’s youngest event.
What is the Charles-Bruneau Cup?
The Coupe Charles-Bruneau is a charity event that brings players together to participate in a friendly ball field hockey tournament, while raising funds for the cause. It’s a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with cancer.

Québec City and the Charles-Bruneau Foundation, a long-standing relationship
In 2018, the Charles-Bruneau Foundation inaugurated its fourth Charles-Bruneau Unit in Quebec City: the Charles-Bruneau Pediatric Hemato-Oncology Unit at the Centre mère-enfant Soleil of the CHU de Québec-Université Laval. To date, close to $9M has been granted to fund numerous projects related to the treatment of pediatric cancers.
With this Unit in Quebec City, it was only natural that a major event should take root in this city. For the Charles-Bruneau Foundation, it’s important to involve the Quebec City community in the fight for a cancer-free childhood. Did you know that nearly 40% of children treated for cancer come from the greater Quebec City area? In all, more than 800 children are treated locally.
Thanks to presenting partner IGA
The Coupe Charles-Bruneau would not have been possible without IGA, a valued partner of the Charles-Bruneau Foundation for over 15 years. Its merchants and loyal customers are important allies in financing research and developing projects dedicated to pediatric hemato-oncology. The Foundation is immensely grateful for the company’s renewed support.
Team up for a cancer-free childhood!
