The Circuit bleu is just around the corner!
With less than a month to go before the 8th edition of the Circuit bleu, the Fondation Charles-Bruneau team is pleased to share with you some news related to the event: the announcement of a brand new ambassador, the continuation of registration until August 20 and the presentation of the four young heroes you will have the chance to meet on site!
What is the Circuit bleu?
Let’s start with the basics. The Circuit bleu is one or two full days of kayaking and, at the same time, a super accessible 13 km course where all types of boats are welcome. The 8th edition will take place in the Montreal area from September 10 to 12, 2021, and the Quebec manufacturer of watercrafts Pelican International Inc. is the official presenter.
The Charles-Bruneau family is growing
Great and happy news: host and comedian José Gaudet is the new ambassador of the Circuit bleu Charles-Bruneau 2021! Touched by the cause and inspired by the challenge, he has agreed to join Pierre Bruneau, Paul Doucet and Mylène Paquette, the event’s spokespersons and godmother, in order to make the event shine even brighter.
José Gaudet will be on site during the Circuit bleu weekend, paddle in hand, and will cruise alongside the participants.
These young people for whom every paddle stroke counts
Have you read the story of Lyanna, Ariane, Zachary and Alyah? They all have unique backgrounds, but share a courage and inspiring strength that makes them heroes for the Circuit bleu.
It is for them and for other young people who have gone through a similar ordeal that a charity event like this one makes sense. It is through the efforts of all participants and the generosity of donors that the Circuit bleu raised over $220,000 last year to cure and treat other children like them.
Until we meet them in person this September, we invite you to read about our four Heroes in this blog post.
Registration continues until August 20
Haven’t registered yet? Don’t worry: there are still a few places left on the Le Classique course on Friday and Saturday (32 and 23 km respectively), as well as on Le Petit bleu course on Sunday (13 km). Don’t wait too long though; the registration period ends on August 20th.
