  • 15% of patients are from the Centre-du-Québec region and part of the Montérégie region.

History

In June 2011, the Fondation Charles-Bruneau announced an historic donation of $1 million to the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke (CHUS) for the redevelopment of its pediatric oncology unit.

The Unité d’oncologie pédiatrique Charles-Bruneau, built in partnership with the Fondation du CHUS, was inaugurated in March 2014. It is located on the seventh floor of the Fleurimont Hospital. The new unit provides improved access to pediatric hematology and oncology services in the Estrie (Eastern Townships) and Centre-du-Québec regions and in part of the Montérégie region.
