41,500 raised during the Vol d’un survivant event!
On September 7, as part of the 12th edition of Vol d’un survivant à l’autre, 45 children in remission or undergoing treatment for cancer and their families had the chance to take to the skies above Quebec City in a seaplane. At the end of this dream day for children, with inflatable games, face painting, food and entertainment, instigator Hugo Desrochers, himself cured of leukemia, announced that $41,500 had been raised for the Charles-Bruneau Foundation.
Since the first edition of Vol d’un survivant à l’autre in 2011, nearly 275 families have had the opportunity to experience an unforgettable day. Since 2018, all funds raised during this event have been donated to the Fondation Charles-Bruneau, with a total exceeding $163,000 to date. These contributions support the Foundation in funding major pediatric hematology-oncology research projects for all children in Quebec.
