Scotiabank returns to the Charles-Bruneau Cup for a second year

The Charles-Bruneau Foundation is proud to count on the renewed support of Scotiabank as a collaborating partner of the second edition of the Charles-Bruneau Cup presented by IGA.

By joining forces with the Foundation, Scotiabank is reiterating its desire to get involved with organizations that support children and youth. In the fall of 2021, Scotiabank announced that it had donated $430,000 to causes that are important to it, including the Charles-Bruneau Foundation.

This donation will help the Foundation accomplish its mission to give all children with cancer the best chance of recovery by funding research and supporting the development of projects dedicated to pediatric hematology-oncology.

The Charles-Bruneau Cup presented by IGA is a ball field hockey tournament that brings together more than 400 players from 35 registered teams. The event, which is in its second year, was created in honour of Charles, a great field hockey fan. Several public personalities will also be present to meet the players and their families during this great festive event.

Two Scotiabank teams on the ice

This year, in addition to being the event’s collaborating partner, Scotiabank has two teams playing for a childhood without cancer. The team led by captain Vito Mangialardi will be playing in the intermediate category, while the team captained by Wissam Salman is in the recreational category.
